Alexander Stewart's 100 Feet Pull is one of the more creative movies being shown at the $100 Film Festival.

Calgary rolls out the red carpet as its famous affordable movie showcase returns tonight.

Held at the Plaza Theatre until Saturday, The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers $100 Film Festival is meant to prove that films don’t have to require millions of dollars to be powerful. Different movies will be showcased every evening starting at 7 p.m.

A wrap party will also be held at the Plaza on Saturday night after the final film has screened and festival awards will be doled out.
