For many years, I’ve enjoyed visiting Thyme & Again for a quick cappuccino break, a freshly made sandwich, or a homemade dessert. Other times, I’ve stopped by to shop for unique gifts. And just this past week I picked up an Elk Pie for a holiday potluck.

After poking around the shop and eyeing the display cases, I ordered a dilled egg salad ($5.25) served on a seed-topped roll. I like my egg salad with chunks, not puréed, and Thyme & Again keeps the texture in this classic sandwich. On a snowy day, the broccoli cheddar soup was perfect, and it contained bite-sized florets of broccoli and just the right zing. An extra sprinkle of cheddar would have been welcomed, however.

I’m a softie for their cappuccino brownie ($2.95). Always rich, with a layer of mocha icing below the chocolate icing. Time and again, I’m always delighted with this little spot on Wellington.
