Halifax Mooseheads defenceman Konrad Abeltshauser wasn’t on the ice at practice yesterday with a lower-body injury that could keep him out of the lineup on the weekend.
The 18-year-old German blue-liner suffered the injury in Sunday’s 9-2 road loss to the Rimouski Oceanic. The team is describing his status as day-to-day.
Abeltshauser has struggled with injuries since coming to North America. He missed 20 games last season with a variety of ailments, including a concussion, broken wrist and a twisted knee.
The Mooseheads host the Saint John Sea Dogs Friday at 7 p.m.
