The TransCanada Alberta Music Series is a gathering of the hottest, most talented and unique musicians from across the province. Artists include Colleen Brown,  Jordan Klassen and Woodpigeon. Tickets are $18.

Calgary Maple Festival

On Friday at 7 p.m., Le Fuzz, a multilingual, world-beat musical group from Edmonton, will kick off the vent. The 2010 Festival des Sucres theme will celebrate the Olympic sports and the international Francophone Games.

Black Gold Gala
When: Sunday, 8 p.m.
Where: Gasoline Alley, Heritage Park
Hosted by the Calgary Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada to raise funds for medical research in order to find the cure.
