QMJHL Hocket
When: Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.
Where: Halifax Metro Centre
Don’t look now, but the Halifax Mooseheads are starting to play some decent hockey with a 6-5-1 record in their last 12 games. This weekend they face the Moncton Wildcats on Friday and the Prince Edward Island Rocket Saturday. Adult tickets are $14.50.

The Nutcracker

This annual Symphony Nova Scotia production is a holiday ballet filled with colourful puppets and beautiful music. The show closes this weekend with tickets $37 for adults and $19 for children.

The Sweet Sounds of Christmas

The Sweet Sound of Christmas features an array of local talented individuals of diverse cultural and music backgrounds. Admission is $10 adults, $5 students.

Sizzling Salsa
When: Sunday, 7 p.m.
Where: World Trade and Convention Centre
Featuring the Canadian Primos, this event will be 100 per cent Latino music as people will also have the chance to learn to Salsa with Halifax Salseros Dance. Tickets are $20 each.
