Oprah Winfrey is a talk-show host, magazine editor, philanthropist and icon, so it should come as no wonder she was named the most influential woman in the entertainment industry in the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment: Power 100 list, People.com reports. ??

Winfrey was chosen “based on her dizzying array of Oprah-branded media and her immense cultural influence,” the trade publication’s editor-in-chief Elizabeth Guider said in a statement.

Meanwhile, actress Angelina Jolie topped the list of the highest-paid actresses.

Jolie, whose 2008 movies grossed nearly $1 billion US worldwide, commands more than $15 million a movie.
