THURSDAY, AUG. 24:
Calgary at Montreal

ODDSMAKERS’ LINE: Montreal is favoured by 3.5 points.
MARTY SAYS: The Stampeders are a decent team and they’ll be coming off a week’s rest, but I’m thinking Anthony Calvillo and the Alouettes bounce back with a vengeance after their embarrassment in Toronto last week. As Argos head coach Pinball Clemons said following his team’s win over Montreal: “Anthony doesn’t throw (five) interceptions very often.  I’d hate to be the next team facing him.”

MARTY’S PICK: TAKE MONTREAL MINUS THE 3.5 POINTS.

FRIDAY, AUG. 25:
Toronto at Winnipeg

ODDSMAKERS’ LINE: Toronto is favoured by 3.5 points

MARTY SAYS: The Blue Bombers still will be without quarterback Kevin Glenn (knee) and receiver Milt Stegall (ribs), but their defence is first-rate and I have a hunch it’ll give Toronto’s offence a tough time. Whoever is at QB for Winnipeg — Mike Quinn or Brad Banks — will have to at least be average for an upset to occur.

MARTY’S PICK: TAKE WINNIPEG PLUS THE 3.5 POINTS.

SATURDAY, AUG. 26:
Hamilton at Saskatchewan

ODDSMAKERS’ LINE: Saskatchewan is favoured by 4.5 points.
MARTY SAYS: This makes no sense, I know, but, back-to-back games in the CFL always seem to take strange twists, so I’m taking the Tiger-Cats on a complete hunch. (Don’t bet the farm, though).

MARTY’S PICK: TAKE HAMILTON PLUS THE 4.5 POINTS.

RESULTS OF WEEK 10:

B.C. 30, Edmonton 28

Saskatchewan 46, Hamilton 15

Toronto 31, Montreal 6

Marty’s record vs. the point spread last week: 0-3-0

Marty’s record vs. the point spread in 2006: 17-16-1
