We all love a good hidden gem. The harder to find, the better, right?

Musette Caffe isn’t terribly obscure…from the back alley, that is. Cyclists using Hornby Street’s bike lane have especially easy access, and that’s the whole point. It’s a café designed for them. Even their two-wheelers are allowed inside.

Thomas Eleizegui, owner, fashion guy, and most importantly, cycling buff, wanted a place to showcase his memorabilia. It’s these treasures that make up Musette’s eclectic decor. Through and through, he’s created a racer’s haven.

Lunch is made by adjoining European Breads Bakery Organic Crepe Café, treats are from Sweet Naturally and coffee is 49th Parallel – superb sourcing by Eleizegui.

Hungry patrons should try the Cheese, Garlic and Egg Specialty Crepe ($9.95). With layer upon layer of doughy folds – filled with gooey richness – it was seriously blissful comfort food.
Finish with an over-sized S’more ($3.25) that’s made with a custom-cut marshmallow and soft cookies that won’t break when you bite.
