A Dominican news agency reports three Canadian women were arrested at an airport in the Dominican prior to a flight to Toronto, allegedly carrying 18 kilograms of what is believed to be cocaine in capsules.

According to the Dominican Today website, the women allegedly had 1,382 capsules taped to their bodies when arrested  Tuesday. The report, citing a spokesman for the country’s National Drugs Control Agency, said the women went there several times this year.
