Mia Donovan’s documentary about a woman who accidentally contracted HIV while shooting a porn film in Los Angeles doesn’t lack for emotional subject matter. But the film’s strengths – chiefly the bond between the director and her deteriorating, frequently unstable subject – are undermined by a rather shapeless structure, probably the result of a long shooting process.
