Just how did Lady Gaga become the global sensation she is today? Why, taste-maker Donald Trump paved her way, of course.
In his new book, “Time To Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” the toupeed star claims that because Gaga performed at the 2008 Miss Universe pageant, which he owns, he gets all the credit. “We always have an entertainer,” he says. “My people told me, ‘Nobody knows who she is, but there’s this woman with good talent named Lady Gaga.’ And I said, ‘Give me a break.’ And then they said, ‘She’s really good.’ So I said, ‘I don’t care – if you like her, put her on.’”
And here I always thought it was the gay community who propelled Lady Gaga to stardom. Did Trump also discover Key West?
Demi Moore wants to empower you
Demi Moore’s latest gig is taking part in “The Conversation,” a new talk show set to air next month on Lifetime with British TV personality Amanda de Cadenet as host (Moore serves as executive producer). “The Conversation,” which claims to be about empowering women, has already nabbed such guests as Lady Gaga, Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Wilde and Jane Fonda. Apparently, they plan on “empowering women” by asking these extremely successful ladies such questions as “What is your favorite sex position?” and “What do you lie about?”
Maybe instead of such inane questions, “The Conversation” could be inspirational by asking such high-profile women to speak on the importÂance of education and birth control or fighting sexism in the work place.
Besides, everyone knows Gwyneth Paltrow’s answer is going to be “missionary.”
