Cute name, right? And with menu items like mini sliders, chili fries and vodka creamsicles, it’s a fun concept.
Unfortunately, the drab room echoes with loud voices and noise, making it feel more like Chuck E. Cheese than a charming neighbourhood restaurant.
The food, too, is merely OK.
A Chicago Frank ($10), steamed with a snappy casing, is topped with sliced tomatoes, sport peppers, fresh onions, pickle spear and celery. Ordinary, but fine. The fresh salad with zesty citrus dressing though, is delightful.
All-Day Breakfast ($7) with two eggs and toast with your choice of meat and home fries or salad is good, but again, nothing new here.
Name brands are a part of the kitsch factor.
We sip on Kicking Horse coffee ($2) and indulge in delicious, cakey Kressler donuts ($1 each), but the food should be at least as good as the doughnuts, if not better.
