Wvrst is all about sausages, which are served up on a bun or sliced.

Wvrst, pronounced “verst”, has a simple menu: sausages, fries, beer and wine.

Booze, a choice of artesian and game links (Kangaroo! Guinea fowl!)  and a cool interior (coral red subway-tiled wall and communal tables) add a unique draw and separate it far from street vendor carts.

Choose your style: On a fresh bun with 2 toppings or sliced with tomato curry sauce and a slice of “country bread.” Choose your sausage: Venison ($9) on the bun with caramelized onions and sweet peppers and an Italian Pork ($6) with the sauce, please.

Venison with red pepper/dijon delights (it’s not as gamey as you think), but the pork loses its juices when sliced (you miss out on that moist burst when you take a bite). Golden, crisp and salty Duck Fat Fries ($4.50) however, are a must.

It’s crazy loud, but fun in here. Just what a sausage hall should be.
