Want somewhere new, comfortable and affordable to go without having to sacrifice sleek decor or memorable food?
Kennedy Public House has it all, including a light-filled, roomy dining room and bar.
Walls showcasing vintage black and white photos of the area are a playful backdrop to slim tables and adjacent steel chairs that are modern but not pretentious. Neither is the menu.
Though it could be. After all, the Chopped Caesar ($10) is executed so beautifully – fine threads of asiago, fried capers and artichoke, sliced palm hearts, paper-thin, crisp pancetta, parmesan tuille and a rich, yet not cloying, dressing.
This is fine dining in a casual atmosphere.
Pizzas ($11-$15) boast a chewy crust and beguiling toppings such as pulled pork, smoked meat and pear.
There are nine to choose from, and on Mondays they are two-for-one.
All of this, with the bonus of our attentive Jimmy Fallon-esque server, made for a perfect meal.
