The Canadian Press/Graham Hughes Montreal Canadiens' fan Will Thrall, left, and Toronto Maple Leafs' fan Jonny Wright cheer on their teams outside the Bell Centre in Montreal Saturday, January 19, 2013 ahead of the Canadiens' NHL home opener against the Leafs.

A whole generation of 20-something fans has never had a chance to watch Toronto playoff hockey in a pub. Here are five places to cheer on the Blue and White:

Real Sports Bar and Grill, 15 York St. A go-big-or-go-home sports bar a mere step from the Air Canada Centre, with a 39-foot HD TV and 199 other HD TVs at the bar.

The Loose Moose, 146 Front St. W. With 54 draft beers on tap, TVs everywhere and a location just around the corner from the ACC, the Loose Moose will be a place to go come playoff time.

Wayne Gretzky’s, 99 Blue Jays Way By name alone this sports bar is on this list. Filled with memorabilia of the Great One himself and 20 HD TVs in the bar alone, it’s a destination for hockey fans.

Shakey’s, 2255 Bloor St. W. Shakey’s takes its name from Mike (Shakey) Walton, a Maple Leafs forward the last time Toronto won the Stanley Cup, in 1967, and the bar’s original owner. Inside are two gold seats from Maple Leaf Gardens and walls lined with photos and memorabilia from the good old days.

Wegz, 2601 Rutherford Rd. A true stadium bar, the 23,000-square-feet Wegz boasts more than 100 HD TVs, including massive HD projection screens and a TV at every booth. If the game isn’t going well, WEGZ also has pool tables and golf simulators.
