As day two of TIFF 2012 falls upon us and the evening approaches, tonight may arguably be one of the biggest event nights of the festival.
Why? A) It’s the second day B) Nobody is working tomorrow C) Tonnes of premieres are this evening and D) Let’s be honest, you can just feel it in the Toronto air.
On the TIFF party circuit radar for tonight is the Amfar Benefit Gala, TORO Magazine Event at the Hoxton, the kick-off benefit with Paul Haggis for Artists for Peace and Justice and several private post-screening dinner parties.

And… I’m at another event: Artists for Peace and Justice in Yorkville.
Paul Haggis founded this charity to help solve the crisis in Haiti and it has reached the masses while garnering major celeb support. Tonight is the precursor to tomorrow’s major fundraiser.
Here are some pics — and you can support this noble initiative too.

Onto the amfAR gala now, to raise money for AIDS research. It’s been a charity-themed night.
