As TIFF kicks off into high gear — after all, today is day one of the film festival — I’ll be bringing you inside the best events the Toronto International Film Festival has to offer.

In a few hours, I’ll be breaking out my opening night threads for Toronto Life’s invitation-only party at the luxurious, brand new Shangri-La hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto.

After that, stay tuned as I make my way to the official TIFF 2012 opening night party at Maple Leaf Square Gardens. This is where the who’s who of Hollywood, Toronto and the world will be toasting all things (and people) TIFF related.

And, perhaps, I’ll raise my own glass throughout the festivity, because wouldn’t it be a crime if I didn’t have a drink… or two, right?

8:30 pm

Canadian celebrities are starting to pour in to the Toronto Life Party. Everyone from musicians like  alt rockers The Midway State, to superstar Canadian fashion designers Greta Constantine are here for opening night.

9:30 pm

Edgy Canadian funnymen Kenny Hotz, of Kenny vs. Spenny, and Tom Green are in the building. Who knew a single room would be enough to hold these two?

10:15 pm

Drinks are being served from ‘Team Shops’ – This is what happens when an opening night party is inside a hockey rink! Love it!

12:15 am

Here comes Canadian T.V. personality Adam Rodness . He’s appeared in shows like Team Epic, Shark City and ABC’s Rookie Blue.
