Sunday’s Grey Cup final is becoming more political, as Alberta and Ontario’s premier have now announced a wager between the two provinces.

In honour of the 100th Grey Cup, Premier Alison Redford and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty spoke Wednesday and set out the parameters of the bet.

Depending on the outcome of the game between the Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts, the premier of the losing province will donate 100 warm clothing items to the charity of the winning premier’s choice.

Redford has chosen to support a domestic violence shelter in Alberta.

The premiers join Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi and Toronto’s mayor Rob Ford in Grey Cup wagers.

The two mayors have bet their weight in food items to be donated to the winning city’s food bank.
